Job Summary
Lead and coach varsity boys lacrosse at Bluffton High School, prioritizing athletics as part of the school’s academic mission. Instruct athletes in individual and team fundamentals, sportsmanship, cooperation, strategy and playing tactics, and physical conditioning. Assist Athletic Director with scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests and planning a regular in-season practice program. Maintain attendance forms, insurance records, and safety oversight. Establish and implement academic eligibility performance criteria and enforce the code of conduct. Recommend equipment purchases as appropriate and perform related duties as assigned. Requires cooperation, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work within SC High School League rules, and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Part-time, stipend-based position with Beaufort County School District.
Required Qualifications
- Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
- Knowledge and/or background in the assigned sport.
- Teaching certificate and experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass criminal background check.
- Valid drivers license.
- Must have knowledge of South Carolina High School League rules and eligibility.
