Job Summary
Lead coaching for middle school and/or upper school basketball teams at Greenwich Academy; plan and lead practices focused on skill-building, teamwork, and sportsmanship; teach game rules, fundamentals, and strategies; create a safe, structured, and motivating environment; manage team logistics including game lineups and basic equipment; communicate regularly with players, families, and the Athletics Department; supervise students during all team activities and represent Greenwich Academy in interscholastic competitions.
Required Qualifications
- Prior coaching or competitive sport specific experience (middle school level or higher preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic and patient with young athletes
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check and meet all Greenwich Academy employment requirements
