Job Summary
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of theatre technicians to deliver outstanding technical support across all surgical specialties. Oversee the preparation, setup, and maintenance of surgical equipment and instruments, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards. Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing staff to anticipate and meet technical needs during procedures. Manage equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting to minimise downtime. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and patient outcomes. Support training and onboarding for new technicians. This Full-Time Head Theatre Technician role is based at Beleura Private Hospital in Mornington, Australia, with applications closing on 1st September 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Practice or other relevant accredited Theatre training program
- Recent relevant experience and understanding of issues associated with acute care/perioperative settings
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required
- Excellent time management skills
- Sound written & verbal communication
- Basic understanding of Infection Control principles
- Sound computer skills
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
- Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children Check
- Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
