Job Summary
Manage teller operations by performing all client transactions, verifying deposits, processing withdrawals, and balancing cash drawers. Supervise the teller team through scheduling, hiring input, and periodic training on security, compliance, and cross-selling. Coach staff to meet sales goals for digital banking, loans, and other products while resolving account issues and assisting with night depository bags. Ensure accurate cash handling, vault shipping, and regulatory adherence. Maintain client relationships by calling for additional services and referring complex needs to appropriate team members.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Must have the ability and dexterity to count money
- Must have the ability to work under stress and manage difficult situations
- Knowledge of rules and regulations that pertain to Tellers and deposit account products and services
- Must have basic ability to operate computers, typewriters, calculators, and other standard office equipment
- Must be self-motivated and be able to set individual goals
- Must understand the concept of sales as it pertains to offering financial services and products
- Must be able to manage and lead the Tellers
- Must have the ability to set and measure standards and determine how team members perform against those standards
- Must be able to provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written
- Must understand client needs and the elements of client service
- Must embrace change
- Must see change as an opportunity for growth
- Must be willing to express and support management's ideas to affected team members
Desired Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a related position in a financial institution
