Job Summary
HEAD TEACHER leads development of Individual Education Programs (IEPs) within the classroom and community, collaborates on behavioral intervention plans and social-pragmatic programming, collects and analyzes student data to monitor progress, implements and monitors treatment components and accommodations per IEPs/BIPs, develops therapeutic relationships with students, oversees curriculum delivery aligned with Massachusetts Frameworks, participates in annual IEP reviews, 3-year re-evaluations, and related meetings, prepares lesson plans, manages a structured classroom and school schedule, completes MCAS assessment requirements, and uses tools like Curriculum Mapper and Google Suite/Microsoft Office; eligibility also includes a bachelor's degree in special education with MA licensure for MODERATE Special Needs and related certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with current MA license in MODERATE Special Needs
- Safety Care, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass nationwide fingerprint background checks
- Teaching certification at time of offer
