Job Summary
Create and execute seasonal swim workout plans while training assistant coaches and maintaining pool cleanliness. Register new participants, manage swim meet entries, and act as the liaison between the Aquatics Department, USA Swimming, and parents. Initiate positive relationships with members, answer program inquiries, and promote aquatics services. Complete weekly one-on-one meetings with the Aquatics Manager and maintain all required safety certifications including StarGuard Elite Lifeguard and BLS CPR. Work in a fast-paced environment across indoor and outdoor facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of swim coaching experience
- Member of ASCA and USA Swimming
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
- Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification
- Complete LTU Safety Training before first shift
- Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
- For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C
- Complete all LTU courses within first 60 days of hire
- Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
- Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Swim lesson instruction experience
- 1 year of customer service experience
- ASCA Level 2 Certification or higher
