Head Summer Camp Counselor

Head Counselor will supervise a group of 12 staff and a village of 18 campers, provide leadership and support to general counselors, model positive camper behavior management, oversee Camp HOPE America curriculum requirements, manage camper daily logs and awards, cover counselor breaks, maintain open communication with administration, co-facilitate daily meetings with the Camp Director, participate in camp activities and overnights, interpret policies to campers and counselors, ensure safety and wellness of campers, and collaborate with the Camp Director and support coordinators to address issues; role is part of the Camp Leadership Team with in-person, August camp schedule in New York, NY; pre-camp trainings in Manhattan and Fishkill; engaging responsibilities require high school graduation, some college, and supervisory experience.
