Job Summary
Plan and initiate meaningful learning activities for Head Start children ages 3-5 years while assisting the teacher in conducting classroom activities and maintaining the environment. Supervise children and support planning, record keeping, and other classroom duties during the 10-month period from August to June. Maintain Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment and possess a valid driver's license with insured automobile. Pass a physical, TB skin test, and background checks including E-Verify. Bilingual English/Spanish capability is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
- Associate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Must have the ability to work at any center regardless of location
- Must be certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment
- Must possess valid driver's license and insured automobile
- Must obtain a physical and TB skin test
- Must pass all criminal history background checks
- Must pass E-Verify
- Three (3) months of experience working with children 3 5 years
