Job Summary
The Head Start Teaching Assistant supports the education team by assisting the teacher in classroom and playground activities aimed at enhancing children's development. Responsibilities include guiding children's activities, conducting health checks, participating in trainings, and assisting with reports and communications. Requires a high school diploma and one year experience with children.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- 1 year experience working with children
- First Aid/CPR Certification (must obtain within one month)
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License
- Must pass background check
- Must pass drug/alcohol screening
- Physical examination with PPD on file
Additional Requirements
- Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last five years
