Job Summary
Conduct classroom activities for Head Start children ages 3-5 years while assisting the teacher in planning, record keeping, and maintaining the learning environment. Supervise students and ensure safety, requiring a valid driver's license, insured automobile, Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days, and successful completion of a physical, TB skin test, and background checks. This 10-month position from August through June requires a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or relevant degree with three months of experience working with young children. Bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
- Associate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Must have the ability to work at any center regardless of location
- Must be certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment
- Must possess valid driver's license and insured automobile
- Must obtain a physical and TB skin test
- Must pass all criminal history background checks
- Must pass E-Verify
