Head Start Teacher

Lead a Head Start classroom of 3–4-year-old children by implementing a child-centered curriculum that encourages positive social interaction and self-motivation. Address challenging behaviors through observation, preventive measures, and skill-building while partnering with families to support development at home. Create developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate experiences in a print-rich environment to foster literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving abilities. Document progress using observations and anecdotal notes to individualize lessons and integrate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for children with disabilities. Ensure daily routines and safety standards align with Head Start and daycare licensing requirements. Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, valid driver's license, and local or long-distance travel up to 10% of the time.
