Job Summary
Create and manage an attractive, warm, and challenging learning environment for young children, incorporating developmentally appropriate learning activities that meet the needs of the group and individual children. Facilitate family involvement in program services while adhering to Head Start Performance Standards. Maintain a valid driver's license, access to a motor vehicle, and comply with safety precautions and health requirements. This role supports families and builds relationships within a team-oriented setting at Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc.'s Main Street location in Cleveland County.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in early childhood education, Child Development or related degree with six (6) class in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Childhood Development (CD)
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Access to a motor vehicle
- Acceptable liability insurance
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a tuberculosis test
- Must be found to be free from any physical, mental or emotional conditions, determined by a qualified physician and/or psychologist, which with or without accommodation might affect the ability of the employee to perform essential job functions
- Ability to comply with Head Start Performance Standards
- Must be computer literate
