Job Summary
Provide a fun, positive, safe, and secure classroom environment for twenty children while supervising and supporting your Teacher I. Lead classroom planning, facilitate meal times to encourage self-help skills and ensure accurate CACFP documentation, and guide children through play-based activities that foster responsibility, independence, and problem-solving. Conduct child screenings and assessments with Teacher I support and establish routines through positive guidance methods. Maintain a clean driving record and hold a valid Arizona Driver's License to perform these duties.
Required Qualifications
- Associates, Bachelor or Master Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 credit hours in child development coursework
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A Level One fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting
- A valid Arizona Driver's License and pass an Agency driver's test
- A clean driving record for past 5 years
- At least 6 months of experience in direct service delivery to children ages 3-5
- Demonstrate center's expectations for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness
- Speak with children in a friendly, positive, courteous manner while listening to children with attention and respect to create a positive learning environment where routines are established through trust
- Excellent organization, time management, written / verbal communication skills and computer proficiency
