Job Summary
Assist in planning daily lessons and activities, assuming major classroom responsibilities as expertise grows. Support individualized instruction by assessing each child's developmental level and collecting required health information. Conduct home visits to collaborate with parents on issues, keep families informed through conferences and notes, and help them access community resources. Prepare and serve meals with the children while managing all cleaning duties for the classroom and center. Recruit children for Head Start and Early Head Start programs, attend assigned training and meetings, and obtain volunteer contributions for the agency. Adhere to all Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency policies, Head Start Performance Standards, and Early Childhood Standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Previous work within a preschool
- Previous work with children ages 0-5
Desired Qualifications
- CDA credential
- Associate's degree
- Preschool designation
