Job Summary
Assist classroom staff with daily activities and management, implementing the Creative Curriculum while maintaining flexibility for children's interests. Lead specific activities as requested and tend to personal hygiene needs including diaper changing, feeding, and clothing care. Ensure child safety and sanitation by monitoring weather-appropriate dress, constant supervision, and enforcing behavior guidance policies. Establish trusting relationships with parents, communicate consistent messages per Data Privacy policy, and administer First Aid or CPR as needed. Maintain a calm, positive attitude while greeting families warmly and collaborating with the team.
Required Qualifications
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (infant/toddlers or preschool) and 1,560 hours of experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system
- AA degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field with 12 credits of accepted, education-related coursework and 1,040 hours experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system
- BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with 12 credits of accepted, education-related coursework and 1,040 hours experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system
- MA/MS degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with 12 credits of accepted, education-related coursework and 1,040 hours experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system
- Have or obtain within 90 days of hire a First Aid and CPR Certification as well as maintain the certification during employment
- Administer First Aid and/or CPR when necessary
- Comfortable working with computers
- willing and able to learn program specific systems as needed for position
