Job Summary
Seasonal Substitute Teacher supports classroom staff by implementing daily activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum, maintains safety and sanitation, and communicates with parents. Requires a CDA credential or higher education in Early Childhood (CDA with 1,560 hours, AA with 1,040 hours, BA/BS with 1,040 hours, or MA/MS) and must obtain First Aid and CPR within 90 days of hire. Responsibilities include assisting with activities, managing classroom dynamics, and upholding data privacy and professional boundaries. Location: Glencoe, MN; Employer: Tri-Valley Opportunity Council Head Start program; Schedule: Hours as needed; Pay: $20.05-$21.15 hourly; Benefit: ESST.
Required Qualifications
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (infant/toddlers or preschool) and 1,560 hours of experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system
- AA degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field with 12 credits of accepted, education-related coursework and 1,040 hours experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system
- BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with 12 credits of accepted, education-related coursework and 1,040 hours experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system
- MA/MS degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with 12 credits of accepted, education-related coursework and 1,040 hours experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system
