Job Summary
Head Start - RV - Home Visitor conducts weekly 90-minute in-home visits and group socialization experiences to support parents as primary educators, collaborates with families and community resources, maintains documentation, and promotes family partnerships across Head Start programs. The role requires providing curriculum-focused home visits, facilitating social and developmental activities for children, ensuring confidentiality, and coordinating through community resources with multiple education/experience paths (Master’s or BA in related fields with relevant experience or CDA credential). Position is 40 hours/week, in Ada, MN, with in-person work, and pay ranges from $18.53 to $27.50 per hour depending on qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work/Human Services, Early Childhood Education/Child Development, Family and Consumer Science; or, Master’s Degree in a Human Services related field with 3 years of experience working in a Head Start or early childhood education program.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work/Human Services, Early Childhood Education/Child Development, Family and Consumer Science; or, Baccalaureate Degree in a Human Services related field with 3 years of experience working in a Head Start or early childhood education program.
- Home-Based Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a comparable credential.
- Ability to obtain, within 18 months of hire or placement in position, a Home-Based CDA credential.
