Job Summary
Assist the assigned Bus Driver to ensure the safe transportation of children ages 3-5 to and from Head Start sites, while also supporting lunch service, site maintenance, and litter pickup. Work part-time for approximately 32 hours per week across the Summerdale School or PACE Center locations, excluding days the program is not in session. You will follow all program procedures, maintain child and family confidentiality, and establish effective working relationships with staff and the community. This role is operated by the City of Rockford and requires a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- some experience with young children
- Must be able to provide own transportation to and from work
- Must meet all standards and requirements as set forth by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS)
- Will be expected to take on flexible site assignments
- Maintain child and family confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and the community
- Regular attendance and promptness
