Job Summary
Manage comprehensive case management activities for families in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards. Advise and assist individuals and families with various issues through the Family Partnership and Agreement Plan. Create, provide, and coordinate services and activities with families and communities to foster strength, healthy living, and overall well-being. Utilize community resources and plan special needs programs while maintaining excellent oral and written communication skills. Obtain a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field within eighteen months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Family Services, Human Services, Counseling, or Social Work
- one year of ECS case management experience
- Associate degree in Family Studies, Human Services, Counseling, or Social Work
- one year of ECS case management experience
- High school diploma or GED
- a credential or certification in Social Work, human services, family services, counseling or related field
- Knowledge and understanding of human services program management, including program planning, special needs programs, and utilizing community resources
- excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- General understanding of community history, traditions, and beliefs
- Understanding of the causes and effects of poverty as they apply to early growth and family relations
- Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet and e communications
