Job Summary
Lead Teacher for Head Start preschool program (ages 3-4) delivering developmentally appropriate lessons using a research-based curriculum, utilizing Teaching Strategies GOLD to assess child progress, and maintaining family partnerships through frequent communication. Responsibilities include two home visits and two parent-teacher conferences annually, leading classroom activities, delegating tasks, coordinating with administration and partnership teams to ensure high-quality Head Start programming, and supporting family engagement and program compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field OR Minimum of 18 college credit hours in Early Childhood Education; candidates with degrees in other fields encouraged to apply if they completed at least 18 ECE credits
