Job Summary
Head Start Home Based Teacher in Page, AZ responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the Neighborhood Learning Wheels program, delivering developmentally appropriate activities to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth, developing weekly lesson plans, maintaining family partnerships through home visits and outreach, coordinating with community services, and ensuring program compliance and reporting. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field (or BA/BS with relevant preschool teaching experience and a state certificate), background checks, CPR/First Aid, CDL, and a valid driver’s license; on-site duties with travel up to moderate levels as described; benefits include health/dental/vision and retirement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; or a BA or BS in a related field to Early Childhood Education or Child Development with experience teaching preschool children and a State-awarded certificate to teach in a preschool program.
- Criminal Background Check
- Fingerprint Clearance Card, Level I
- Driver’s License (if out of state license, obtain Arizona license within one year)
- Motor Vehicle Report (annually)
- CPR (within 6 months of hire date)
- First Aid (within 6 months of hire date)
