Job Summary
Manage the daily operations of the Head Start Home-Based Program, ensuring compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, state regulations, and agency policies. Supervise Home Visitors by conducting observations, case reviews, and performance evaluations while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention of qualified staff. Ensure families receive weekly home visits and group socialization experiences, promoting positive parent-child relationships through evidence-based practices and individualized school readiness goals. Collaborate with education, health, and community partners to deliver integrated services for children birth to age five. Monitor program data, prepare reports for funding agencies, and participate in federal reviews and audits. Requires a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field, three years of experience in early childhood or home-visiting programs, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Education, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in early childhood education, family services, or home-visiting programs
- Comprehensive knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards
- Understanding of child development, family engagement, and family support principles
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Ability to analyze data and implement continuous quality improvement strategies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the service area
- Ability to conduct home visits and community-based meetings
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Successful completion of background checks as required by federal, state, and agency regulations
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Completion of required Head Start and agency training
- Compliance with all health and safety requirements
