Job Summary
Assist teaching staff with curriculum implementation and daily activities while applying developmentally appropriate practices to support individual children. Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment, track child progress, and collaborate with parents to build home-school connections. Implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) or Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and cooperate with community partners to meet program needs. Participate in assigned meetings, events, and training, ensuring completion of at least 15 clock hours of professional development annually. This part-time role operates within a classroom setting in Mason County, requiring a valid Kentucky driver's license and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/General Education Degree
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Satisfactory background checks
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Random drug testing as required
- State required minimum vehicle liability insurance
- Uninsured motorist insurance
- Any/all other testing or applicable checks required by local, state, or federal law
- Ensure that a minimum of 15 clock hours of allowable professional development is completed annually
- Complies with the Head Start Performance Standards and all applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as required
