Job Summary
Consult tools and trainings to execute standard CDC initiatives, including play plans and intentional play, while assisting with implementation of the Creative Curriculum. Manage day-to-day classroom activities such as bathroom breaks, meals, and supervision of children at all times under the Lead Teacher's direction. Maintain high-quality verbal engagement throughout the day and apply brain-based techniques to assist children with self-regulation and classroom behaviors. Ensure the classroom and equipment remain clean, well-maintained, and safe while adhering to all CDC policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to obtain an in-house CDA within two years of their hire date
- Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with children
- Superior communication skills
- Decision-making skills

- Time management skills
- Organizational skills
- Proper attendance
- Ability to arrive on time, every day
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to stand for long periods throughout the workday
- Ability to sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, reach, and grasp as necessary
- Dexterity in coordinated movements of fingers, hands, feet, legs, and torso
- Ability to lift and carry children and/or objects up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel to other centers within the county
