Job Summary
Pick up and deliver Head Start, Early Head Start, and Migrant & Seasonal Head Start children as scheduled. Complete daily sign-in/sign-out sheets, roster sheets, and timely reports covering attendance, mileage, accident reports, and fuel receipts. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety measures are in place, maintaining the bus in a safe, operable condition at all times while operating in compliance with applicable laws. Submit reports and manage bus maintenance and regular safety checks to support the mission of safe transportation for all participants.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid California Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B with Endorsements P & S)
- DL-45 Special Certificate (Type I or Type II)
- TO1 Card
- Current DMV printout (original H-6 form) with a good driving record
- Medical Examiner Certificate DL51A form
- Certificates of completion for pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training (within 30 days of hire)
- Must submit timely reports
- Must be responsible for bus maintenance and regular safety checks
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
