Job Summary
Head Start Associate Teacher supports learning environments and instruction for young children with emphasis on social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development; collaborates with Head Start Teacher to implement curriculum aligned with Head Start ELOF and state/federal requirements; maintains group routines, ensures ratios, supports data entry and documentation in Child Plus and DRDP, and promotes a positive safety culture in a Head Start setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Preschool CDA credential or comparable credential or a degree in a related field and experience with young children
- CDA within 1 year of hire
- Infant Toddler CPR, First Aid and AED certification
- Background screening including fingerprinting
- Valid vehicle insurance
- able to obtain CDA within 6 months of hire
- Knowledge of Paycom, Child Plus, Creative Curriculum, DRDP (preferred)
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to promote a safe working environment
- Must attend continuing training as required by regulations
