Job Summary
Lead Bethel University's intercollegiate softball program withBiblical-informed leadership, mentoring student-athletes, and upholding christ-centered, mission-driven values. Drive program excellence through practices, game preparation, and competitive strategy; supervise and mentor assistant coaches; recruit and retain student-athletes aligned with the university's spiritual and academic standards; collaborate with Admissions to support enrollment goals; ensure compliance with NAIA, NCCAA, conference, and institutional policies; oversee admin tasks including scheduling, travel, budgeting, equipment, and facilities; engage in campus and community spiritual life offerings and chapel participation. Requires a Bachelor's degree, collegiate coaching experience with leadership and recruiting, strong communication and organizational skills, and a clear Christian faith aligned with Bethel University's doctrinal statement. Position is full-time, 12-month, based in Mishawaka, IN with evening/weekend travel obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred).
- Collegiate coaching experience with evidence of leadership, discipleship, recruiting, player development, and program organization.
- Strong understanding of recruiting practices and collegiate softball operations.
- Clear personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with Bethel University's doctrinal statement.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
