Job Summary
Lead and supervise all aspects of the intercollegiate Softball program, including coaching the team, planning and supervising practices, actively identifying and recruiting student-athletes, coordinating team travel, and ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, college, department, and applicable rules. Responsibilities include supervising assistant coaches and graduate assistants, managing schedules and events, overseeing strength, conditioning, nutrition, and financial literacy support, coordinating competition logistics, and maintaining academic accountability for players while fostering leadership and integrity on and off the field.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Undergraduate degree required; master's degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum two years of work experience at the collegiate level with proven recruiting experience
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of fitness concepts and NCAA rules and regulations; recruiting techniques; interpersonal and communication skills; computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); ability to work with diverse populations; ability to supervise others; commitment to academic achievement of student-athletes
