Job Summary
Teaches discipline and assigns duties to assistant coaches while managing the assigned softball program. Supervises students from practice start until they leave campus, monitoring physical conditions and enforcing safety rules. Coordinates equipment issuance, care, and inventory, and assists the athletic director in purchasing gear and scheduling. Encourages academic excellence and assesses student athlete accomplishments regularly, providing progress reports. Maintains positive relationships with parents through necessary conferences. Requires a valid South Carolina Teacher Certificate and high moral character.
Required Qualifications
- Meets all qualifications established by the South Carolina High School League
- Possesses and maintains high moral character
- Ability to work well with children
- Possesses knowledge of the sport assigned, including, but not limited to, knowledge of training and conditioning
- Possesses the ability to communicate with parents and students
Desired Qualifications
- Valid South Carolina Teacher Certificate preferred
