Job Summary
Operates a school bus on a regular schedule or special occasions, performs skilled mechanical repairs on school buses and district vehicles, and plans/supervises the work of other bus drivers and mechanics. Maintains safety and orderly conduct, prepares route maps and pick-up point locations, and ensures compliance with driving safety practices and NYS School Bus Driver requirements. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience, plus an appropriate license; located in Monticello, NY within a state school district operation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and two years of experience in the operation or repair of buses or other equipment used in the transportation of passengers
- Three years of experience as described in the previous item
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as described in the previous item
- Possess an appropriate License and meet the requirements for School Bus Driver as set forth by NYS Regulations
