Job Summary
Head P&C Claims SID leading Property & Casualty Claims across the SID region (South East Asia, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea). Shapes regional Claims strategy, champions Swiss Re’s value proposition with clients and partners, and leads a high-performing team of Claims professionals. Responsibilities include developing and mentoring the SID Claims team, overseeing portfolio strategy and reserving, embedding AI-enabled capabilities, driving client-centric initiatives, ensuring governance/compliance, and representing Swiss Re across markets and industry bodies. Requires senior leadership, strong financial/analytical acumen, regional market knowledge, executive stakeholder engagement, and a track record in portfolio-based claim handling with exposure to diverse markets. The role emphasizes strategic direction, market presence, collaboration with underwriting, risk management, finance, and other functions, and advancing operational excellence within a dynamic regional context.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in P&C re/insurance Claims management
- strong leadership capability
- ability to align talent with strategic goals
- experience representing a (re)insurer at senior management level (clients, brokers, industry bodies)
- cross-functional collaboration skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- experience managing complex or challenging claims situations
