Job Summary
Manage all cultivation, operational, and logistical activities in rooting greenhouses to ensure Florensis delivers high-quality young plants on time and in right quantities. Lead a production team by motivating and coaching staff while steering operations efficiently alongside the Head of Operations. Oversee operational and location planning, maintain climate computer settings, and collaborate with the Supply Chain Planner on quality issues. Optimize crop protocols with research employees to improve cultivation recipes and reach agreed productivity targets. Report to the General Manager of Florensis Portugal.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience of minimal 3 years in (young plant) plant production
- Technical knowledge of cultivation processes (climate, fertilizer, crop protection)
- You have strong communication skills and are an integrative team player
- You are able to motivate and coach staff and create a positive atmosphere
- You are able to indicate clear goals and motivate others to reach those
- You are quality minded
- You have an excellent knowledge of English
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in horticulture would be preferred or a related field
- Knowledge of a Hoogendoorn climate computer is preferred
- preferred Portuguese language
