Job Summary
Technical Manager (Head of Video) with expert-level AV skills responsible for managing all aspects of their discipline in large venue events, including pre-planning, on-site management, equipment maintenance, and post-show activities. Acts as SME for their discipline, mentors technicians, interfaces with production teams and warehouse leads, designs systems with senior project managers, manages budgets and sub-rentals, and travels up to 75% for live events. Requires BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years in live venue AV, leadership/crew lead experience, strong customer service, problem solving, and communication abilities; travel and health & safety compliance are expected.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degreed or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of live large venue audio visual
- 5+ years of knowledge of Audio Visual and expert level technical skill set in a discipline
- 2+ years crew lead experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organisation skills
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Ability to travel up to 75%
