Job Summary
Represent Technology Development & Verification in China as the senior in-country leader, ensuring local teams remain connected to global standards while reflecting regional realities. Represent China needs into the global leadership community and partner with JDM and cross-functional teams to align ways of working and ensure delivery meets Dyson standards. Build the China organisation by coaching local leaders, strengthening succession pipelines, and creating a connected engineering community with clear expectations. Work across all categories to understand capability demand, support effective allocation of people and specialist resources, and resolve cross-category tensions to deploy functional capability where it has the greatest impact. Drive site readiness by gaining traction on critical enablers including facilities, safety, security, IT, and tooling, while identifying barriers and bringing stakeholders together for resolution. Lead through influence to build strong relationships across category leadership, engineering, site operations, HR, and corporate functions, helping shape the future operating model as the organisation scales.
Required Qualifications
- Significant leadership experience in engineering, product development, technology development, verification, validation or a closely related technical function
- Proven ability to lead through influence in complex, global and matrixed organisations
- Strong track record of developing people, building capability and improving organisational effectiveness
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance global functional standards with local operating realities and practical delivery needs
- Strong judgement, ownership and resilience in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience scaling engineering teams, sites or development capability
- Experience working across multiple product categories or technology programmes
- Strong understanding of product development, verification, validation and engineering governance
- Experience operating in or with China-based engineering, supplier or development teams
