Head of Technical - US casualty

Job Summary
Manage the US Casualty technical team by overseeing performance reviews, recruiting new hires, and coordinating workload distribution. Execute daily operations including slip and endorsement production, transaction checks, technical account allocation, and quarterly file reviews with QA appeals. Process bdx for binders and lineslips, ensure middle office compliance, and communicate whitespace enhancements to the team. Generate and distribute work reports on quotes and subjectivities, run CC/EOC reports against KPIs, and track bad debt and outstanding premiums. Maintain e-filing systems, update MRC templates for regulatory changes, and align with offshore and Bermuda processing teams on brokerage allocations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years mastering complex US jurisdictions

- Excellent technical US Casualty knowledge
- understanding of various types of wordings

- Managing the end to end operational technical process from slip preparation; invoicing; bdx management; premium collection; outstanding monies
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to manage and co-ordinate individuals
- Can build relationships across broking; operations and compliance teams
- Act as the team's technical expert for complex risks and processing issues
- Provide advice, training and guidance to others in the team
- Experience with system testing, upgrades, process improvement
