Job Summary
Own technical accounting and financial reporting in a multi-product SaaS environment, serving as the subject matter expert on complex matters including business combinations, equity, stock-based compensation, leases, and revenue recognition. Prepare technical memos on significant transactions, partner with Product, Sales, and Legal teams to assess accounting implications of new pricing structures, and operationalize conclusions with Revenue Accounting. Monitor new accounting standards, design scalable internal controls for SOX compliance, and lead IPO readiness workstreams including registration statement disclosures and audit coordination. Own the preparation and review of internal and external financial statements, drive month-end and year-end close improvements, and deliver reporting to senior leadership and investors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA
- 15+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Deep, current expertise in U.S. GAAP (including ASC 606 revenue recognition)
- Working knowledge of IFRS
- Experience with technical accounting research and the preparation of technical memos on complex, non-routine transactions
- Strong understanding of technical accounting across areas such as business combinations, equity and stock-based compensation, leases, and revenue recognition
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a SaaS, technology, or other high-growth environment
- Working knowledge of internal controls and SOX, with experience supporting IPO readiness or public-company reporting
