Job Summary
Line manage the Engineering, Science and Computing team, chair programme meetings, and develop ESC provision for international students. Organise inductions including diagnostic testing, create module handbooks, and liaise with link tutors regarding student performance and resources. Analyse module data, review specifications, and coordinate moderation and standardisation for external examiners. Plan inclusive learning programmes, deliver teaching sessions, and ensure VLE content meets Study Group frameworks. Support student progress through attendance records, target setting, and referrals to personal tutors or senior management. Refer students for learning or welfare support, uphold safeguarding duties, and lead team efforts to produce a cohesive curriculum while complying with quality assurance processes.
Required Qualifications
- A Cert Ed, PCET or PGCE teaching qualification (working towards, or willingness to achieve)
- Qualified to Degree level or professional equivalent in a relevant subject area
- Successful teaching, learning and assessment experience at level 3
- Current experience in the delivery of Engineering Science and Computing teaching and learning
- Experience of teaching International Students
- Experience in planning and running complex education courses in the subject area
- Experience in coordinating a small team to achieve high levels of student academic performance and outcomes against agreed targets

- Postgraduate qualification in a related field
