Head of Student Voice, Advocacy and Wellbeing

Job Summary
Lead WSUSU’s student voice, advocacy and wellbeing functions across Western Sydney University campuses, providing strategic leadership to protect student rights, respond to complex and sensitive matters, and advance equity and inclusion. Advise the CEO on emerging issues affecting students, oversee trauma-informed advocacy and wellbeing pathways, supervise a multidisciplinary team, monitor service effectiveness, and foster strong partnerships with students, university stakeholders and external partners to influence policy and strengthen services.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Law, Social Sciences, Community Development, Education or a related field
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams in student services, community services or advocacy contexts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage complex, sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism
- Experience working with student governance, advocacy or representative bodies
- Sound knowledge of trauma-informed practice and a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
