Head of Strategy & Operations
On-siteSan Francisco, California, United States
Job Summary
Partner with leadership to define and operationalize strategy across segments, translating intent into trackable initiatives and driving cross-functional alignment. Design and run operating rhythms including planning cycles, QBRs, forecast reviews, and executive forums to ensure clear accountability and follow-through. Architect and systematize operating functions in finance, legal, compliance, and hiring, building audit-ready processes that default to automation. Oversee company-wide planning and performance management while synthesizing market signals into a coherent narrative for board and investor materials. Manage fundraising processes end-to-end, including data rooms, decks, and diligence, supporting the company's growth trajectory.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in Strategy, Operations, Technical Program Management, or Product
- proven track record driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from idea to completion
- Demonstrated experience building or scaling business operations (finance, legal, compliance) in a high-growth startup environment
- Strong track record designing and running operating cadences — QBRs, forecast reviews, planning cycles, executive forums — with clear accountability and follow-through
- Experience partnering with Finance on company-wide planning, forecasting, and attaining company goals
- Strong technical fluency: able to engage credibly with engineers, and identify technical growth opportunities
- Track record supporting or leading fundraising end-to-end — data rooms, decks, investor narratives, and diligence management
- Comfort pressure-testing leadership thinking in high-stakes settings — surfaces blind spots and challenges assumptions constructively
- Hands-on with automation tooling and AI agents — default instinct is to eliminate operational drag through systems, not headcount
- Builder's mentality: designs for 100x scale from day one
