Job Summary
Lead the development and management of BridgeBio's long-range strategic plan, translating the company's mission and pipeline into a rigorous view of future direction. Own the annual planning process, aligning cross-functional leadership and driving goal-setting frameworks that connect enterprise strategy to operational execution. Partner with R&D, Commercial, and affiliate teams to prioritize the pipeline, evaluate partnership opportunities, and assess competitive positioning against portfolio strategy. Synthesize external signals on scientific advances, regulatory shifts, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions and ensure leadership is never surprised by key developments. Author Board-level materials and investor communications that clearly articulate the company's strategic narrative and resource allocation priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, or investment banking
- Meaningful exposure to the biopharmaceutical or life sciences sector
- Experience at a top-tier strategy firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain or equivalent)
- Substantive biotech or pharma industry experience
- Understanding of how pipeline assets are valued
- Understanding of competitive dynamics in rare disease markets
- Ability to develop and present Board-level strategy materials
- Analytical exceptionalism with comfort in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and quantitative underpinning of strategic decisions
- Precision and economy in communication (writing and speaking)
- Ability to collaborate across functions including R&D, Commercial, Finance, and Legal
- Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD, or equivalent)
