Head of Solutions Development

Head of Solutions Development leads technical leadership in business development, designing and delivering innovative transport solutions. Responsibilities include acting as a technical lead on proposals, writing solution design documents and customer tender responses, managing projects with agile methodologies and design thinking, analyzing data to design innovative strategies for operational efficiency, and leading the end-to-end implementation of solutions from vision to operational success. The role involves collaborating with business partners and risk partners, influencing stakeholders, maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge (e.g., professional bodies like CILT), and supporting the development of other team members. Requires ability to engage with senior management and customers up to board level, strong communication, and experience in logistics solutions design with commercial accountability. Familiarity with transport operations, fleet management, route optimization, multimodal systems, and awareness of emerging technologies (AI, cloud, cybersecurity) is increasingly important.
