Job Summary
Head of Software Development leading the transformation of a manufacturing-focused software organization into a modern engineering function. Responsible for building a high-performing development organization, coaching team leads, influencing product and development roadmaps, ensuring long-term scalability and performance of software architecture, advancing cloud and AI initiatives, and driving agile transformations (e.g., Tribes, Gilden, SAFe/LeSS, Scrum/Kanban). Owns portfolio/priority management, vendor/technology management, and cross-functional alignment with architecture, HR, and product management. Promotes security-by-design, Delivery metrics (Lead Time, Deployment Frequency, defect rates), and continuous improvement of development processes; collaborates with COO on strategic decisions and represents the development organization externally. Location-based hybrid work in Munich, Germany, with flexibility and a strong focus on culture, quality, and innovation.
