Job Summary
Head of Social Investment at APM Terminals will define and lead the global social investment strategy, oversee high-impact social investment programmes, mobilize co-funding from governments, development agencies, foundations and private investors, and build partnerships with NGOs, public authorities, and private sector actors. The role focuses on aligning social investments with concession strategy, local procurement, enterprise development, and long-term stakeholder value creation. Responsible for governance frameworks, monitoring, evaluation, KPIs, external communications, and reporting on social ROI and outcomes. Requires senior leadership experience in sustainability, development finance, or related fields, with a proven track record in designing and managing multi-year programmes and raising funding from diverse sources. Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferable.
Required Qualifications
- Solid experience in private-sector-oriented sustainability, development or impact roles in infrastructure industry (e.g., Mining, Energy, or similar industries)
- Strong commercial credentials – e.g. financial qualifications, entrepreneurship, impact or development finance, or supply chain / enterprise development
- Experience designing and managing large-scale, multi-year programmes in a donor, NGO or corporate environment
- Proven ability to raise matching funding from governments, development agencies, foundations and/or private investors
- Track record of building and managing partnerships with NGOs, public institutions and private sector actors
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across governments, communities, corporates, NGOs, funders and research institutions
- Master’s degree in Sustainability, Development Studies, Business, Public Policy, or related discipline is preferable
- Experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting, including development of KPIs, impact frameworks and external communications
