Job Summary
Head of Seller success FRIT at eBay leads the entire B2C seller performance agenda for France and Italy. The role coordinates sellers, commercial trading, incentives, and seller marketing, focusing on profitable GMV growth and an outstanding seller experience. It operates in a global matrix and serves as the regional reference point for professional sellers in France and Italy, reporting to the C2C & Seller success director with a small team. Responsibilities include defining strategy and performance frameworks for B2C sellers, leading trading and incentive programs (pricing, promotions, deals, seasonal campaigns) to deliver GMV, margin and inventory health, setting and implementing the B2C seller marketing strategy, representing FRIT sellers in global forums, building and leading a cross-functional pod across trading, seller marketing and account management, escalating as needed to country/category leaders, driving continuous improvement of seller journeys, and partnering with Product, GCX, Risk, Finance, and Legal to scale and standardize processes. The role requires proven experience in e-commerce/marketplaces or related fields, multi-country portfolio leadership, strong commercial and trading acumen, data-driven decision making, and fluency in French and English. Based in France with travel between markets; remote work is not specified and the role emphasizes being based in France with in-person responsibilities. Additional expectations include mentoring, inclusive leadership, and strong stakeholder management.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience (+12) in e-commerce/marketplaces, top-tier consulting, or commercial/trading roles with a track record of driving revenue and margin
- Proven ability to lead multi-country or multi-market portfolios, ideally including France and/or Italy, in a global matrix environment
- Strong commercial and trading competence: owning GMV and margin levers, crafting incentives, promotions and marketing programs, and evaluating ROI across channels and segments
- Demonstrated ability to translate insights into action: structuring ambiguous problems, sizing opportunities, running tests, and iterating with clear success metrics
- Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken); additional European languages a plus
- Based in France with the ability to travel between markets and to eBay hubs as needed
- Self-starter, autonomous and hands-on leadership style; capable of operating with limited structure
- Strong partner management and communication skills; ability to influence senior leaders and align diverse teams
- People leadership experience with emphasis on mentoring, feedback, and inclusion
