Head of Security (NYC / MIA)

Head of Security at Crossmint responsible for building and owning the security function during a period of scale and regulatory maturation. Role combines strategic program ownership with hands-on capability, reporting to co-founders and guiding security posture across application, infrastructure, corporate IT, vendor risk, and regulatory audits. Manage the Senior DevSecOps Engineer and collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Ops. Lead security initiatives aligned with SOC 2 Type II, DORA, and MiCA requirements, and drive risk management, incident response, threat modeling, and audit readiness. Emphasizes security as a product differentiator, with experience in fintech or crypto infrastructure and the ability to communicate risk to executive leadership. Ideal candidates will own security strategy, conduct board-level risk briefings, coordinate external audits, and scale the security program while remaining hands-on when necessary.
