Job Summary
Lead Savings Operations and Support at Leek Building Society. Responsible for all aspects of Savings Operations, driving compliant operations, delivering controlled performance against SLAs, and guiding a high-performing team through regulatory reporting, ISA compliance, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Branch Network, Products and Compliance to ensure best-in-class service levels for Members. Design and refine processes and leverage technology to enhance customer journeys while maintaining risk, controls, and governance aligned with Consumer Duty and regulatory expectations. Act as the ISA Manager, manage regulatory reporting and MI, and oversee third-party relationships to meet contractual obligations. Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture, delegate effectively, and maintain accountability across the Savings Operations function.
Required Qualifications
- A detailed knowledge of Prudential and Conduct Regulation within Banking or Building Society sector is essential, including FCA operational principles
- Deep and current knowledge of end-to-end savings processes
- Significant experience in Financial Services of Banking Payments, Financial Crime and Savings Servicing is essential
- Proven track record of senior stakeholder management up to and including Board level
- Capable of managing change at all stages, i.e., establishing clear vision, enrolling others to change and executing change
- Effectively employing customer insight tools and techniques to consistently create value for customers
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional people leadership with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop teams
- Be a clear and effective communicator who builds relationships across the business
- Certification Regime Obligations indicating this role is a Certification function for regulatory purposes
- Awareness of Financial Crime obligations and AML procedures
