Job Summary
Head of Salestrading role focused on leading and expanding the Canadian franchise in Toronto. Drive high-touch institutional client coverage across asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, corporations, and hedge funds; manage best-in-class execution across equity-related products; generate actionable trade ideas and market insights to deepen client relationships and wallet share. Collaborate with trading, research, and syndicate to deliver integrated solutions, ensure best execution and regulatory compliance, and scale growth with cross-functional teams (trading, operations, technology, legal, compliance). Represent the Canadian franchise internally and externally, partnering with regional and global equities to deliver full platform capabilities. Lead hiring needs and maintain a strong risk and control mindset while expanding market presence in Toronto.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a sales trader in equity markets
- deep expertise in Canadian equities and institutional client coverage
- Proven track record of high-quality execution and client engagement
- Established relationships with key Canadian institutional clients
- Strong risk management discipline
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant Canadian regulatory licensing (or ability to obtain promptly)
