Job Summary
Lead and scale the global sales organization by defining and executing international sales and market strategies aligned with corporate objectives; drive sustainable growth, manage budgets and profitability, oversee international subsidiaries and distribution partners, build long-term customer relationships, coach an international sales team, identify new market opportunities, support complex contract negotiations, and provide market insights and performance reporting to executive management.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree (e.g., biotechnology, engineering) combined with a higher business qualification
- Several years of leadership experience in international sales, ideally in capital equipment or plant engineering
- Proven track record in building and scaling global sales organizations
- Experience in pharma, biotech, or life sciences industries is highly desirable
- Strong strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and German
- High level of intercultural competence and willingness to travel internationally (40–60%)
- Lead, coach, and develop an international sales team
- Provide market insights, KPIs, and performance reports to executive management
