Head of Responsible Wagering

Job Summary
Ensure ongoing compliance with all licensing and legal obligations relating to responsible wagering and oversee harm-minimisation monitoring using behavioural analytics to identify at-risk customers. Lead the operational day-to-day running of the RG department and manage a 24/7, multinational team across global time zones. Proactively stay up to date with regulatory updates, translating new requirements into operational workflows, and liaise with regulators to handle specific cases and prepare submissions. Act as the primary stakeholder for RG in product projects and ensure all training and documentation remain current. Collaborate closely with Fraud, Customer Service, and Trading teams on shared signals. This role is based in Brisbane or Sydney and requires flexibility outside standard business hours.
Required Qualifications
- Comfort and capability working in a 24/7 multinational environment
- A tertiary qualification
- 2+ years of experience in an operational regulatory or compliance role
- Demonstrated experience working within complex regulatory frameworks and translating rules into live, functional business processes
- Proven experience writing and implementing end-to-end, best-practice process documentation
- High level of empathy and sound judgement when handling sensitive customer situations
Desired Qualifications
- Business, Compliance, or a related discipline (preferred)
- gambling industry experience (highly preferred, but not essential)
- A genuine passion for responsible wagering and player protection
