Job Summary

Lead the AMEA & JANZ Crop Protection Regulatory organization, setting strategy, priorities, and operating models to drive transformation and continuous improvement. Own registration strategy and execution for new product approvals, label expansions, and lifecycle management, ensuring timely regulatory compliance and sustained freedom to operate. Serve as the primary interface with key regulatory authorities and policy stakeholders, while developing advocacy strategies to shape external regulatory policy and industry positions. Drive cross-functional partnerships with Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Legal, and Supply teams to align priorities and deliver business objectives. Oversee regulatory governance, resource planning, and performance tracking to ensure operational efficiency, while anticipating emerging regulatory trends and sustainability commitments. Build forward-looking organizational capabilities through coaching, talent planning, and leadership development, actively participating in Business Process Reviews and digital/AI initiatives to deliver measurable business value.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum education: Degree in Science
  • Minimum education: preferably post-graduate qualification (MSc, PhD, MBA)
  • Extensive experience, including leadership responsibilities, in Crop Protection regulatory affairs, regulatory sciences
  • At least 10 years' experience in crop protection R&D
  • Significant expertise in Regulatory or Product Safety, or other relevant business area
  • Significant people management and development experience
  • Good understanding of operations in other functions (e.g. legal, production and supply, finance, marketing, etc.)
  • Proven ability to deal with the most complex regulatory issues, and develop effective strategies and options for managing them
  • Evidence of having developed innovative regulatory strategies
  • An inspiring leader who builds and leads the most effective teams
  • Be organized and able to prioritize among the day to day issues
  • Proactive in identifying issues, and developing and implementing creative strategies for addressing them
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex teams and building high-performing organizations through talent development, coaching, and succession planning
  • Strong strategic leadership capability, with the ability to translate external regulatory developments into clear business implications, priorities, and action plans
  • Exceptional ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and build strong networks and advocate with regulatory agencies, industry groups and other external stakeholders through credibility, sound judgment, and science-based advocacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven track record of managing complexity, making risk-based decisions, and delivering results in a highly regulated and fast-changing environment
  • High degree of integrity, resilience, and sound judgment, with the ability to lead through ambiguity and balance business needs, compliance obligations, and stewardship commitments
